On-Vehicle Inspection

  1. INSPECT ACCELERATOR PEDAL ROD 
    1. Check the voltage.
      1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
      2. Turn the ignition switch ON.
      3. Turn the tester ON.
      4. Start the engine and warm it up.
      5. Select the following menu items: Powertrain / Engine and ECT / Data List / Accelerator Position No. 1, Accelerator Position No. 2.
      6. Operate the accelerator pedal, then check that the Accelerator Position No. 1 and Accelerator Position No. 2 values are within the specifications.

        Standard voltage: 

        ACCELERATOR POSITION NO. 1 

        STANDARD VOLTAGE

        Accelerator Pedal Condition Specified Condition
        Released 0.5 to 1.1 V
        Fully depressed 2.6 to 4.5 V

        ACCELERATOR POSITION NO. 2 

        STANDARD VOLTAGE

        Accelerator Pedal Condition Specified Condition
        Released 1.2 to 2.0 V
        Fully depressed 3.4 to 5.0 V

        If the result is not as specified, check the accelerator pedal rod, wire harness and ECM.
