Front Speed Sensor: Removal

HINT:

  1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    NOTE: When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected. (See INITIALIZATION )
  2. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL 
  3. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER  (See REMOVAL )
  4. REMOVE FRONT FENDER MOLDING SUB-ASSEMBLY LH  (See REMOVAL )
  5. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL OPENING EXTENSION PAD  (See REMOVAL )
  6. REMOVE FRONT FENDER LINER  (See REMOVAL )
  7. REMOVE FRONT SPEED SENSOR 
    1. Disconnect the front speed sensor connector and remove the 2 clamps.

    2. Remove the bolt and No. 2 sensor clamp from the body.

    3. Remove the bolt, No. 1 sensor clamp, and flexible hose together from the shock absorber assembly.

    4. Remove the bolt, resin clamp, and the front speed sensor.
      NOTE:
      • Prevent foreign matter from attaching to the front speed sensor tip.
      • Clean the installation hole and the contact surface for the front speed sensor every time it is removed.
