Steering Angle Sensor: Installation
- INSTALL STEERING ANGLE SENSOR
- Align the 2 locating pins, engage the 6 claws, and install the steering angle sensor to the spiral cable.
- INSTALL SPIRAL CABLE WITH STEERING ANGLE SENSOR (See INSTALLATION )
- INSTALL STEERING COLUMN COVER (See INSTALLATION )
- ADJUST SPIRAL CABLE (See INSTALLATION )
- INSTALL STEERING WHEEL ASSEMBLY (See INSTALLATION )
- INSPECT STEERING WHEEL CENTER POINT
- INSTALL STEERING PAD (See INSTALLATION )
- INSTALL LOWER NO. 3 STEERING WHEEL COVER (See INSTALLATION )
- INSTALL LOWER NO. 2 STEERING WHEEL COVER (See INSTALLATION )
- INSPECT STEERING PAD (See INSTALLATION )
- CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL CAUTION:
- When reconnecting the cable to the negative (-) battery terminal after installing the steering sensor, check that the front tires and steering wheel are kept aligned straight ahead before and after connecting the cable to the negative (-) battery terminal.
- When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected. (See INITIALIZATION )
