Inspection Procedure

  1. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (POWER SOURCE) 
    1. Disconnect the P11 regulator switch connector.
    2. Turn the ignition switch ON.
    3. Check the voltage between the terminal 4 of the wire harness side connector and the body ground.

      Standard voltage: 

      10 to 14 V 

      NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (SWITCH - RELAY)

      OK: Go to next step 

  2. INSPECT POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH (REAR RH) 
    1. Remove the regulator switch.
    2. Check the resistance between the switch terminals when the switch is operated, as shown in the table below.

      Standard resistance 

      TERMINAL SPECIFIED CONDITION REFERENCE CHART

      Terminal No. Regulator Switch Specified Condition
      1 - 2, 3 - 4 UP Continuity
      1 - 2, 3 - 5 OFF
      1 - 4, 3 - 5 DOWN

      NG: REPLACE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH (REAR RH)

      OK: Go to next step 

  3. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (SWITCH - MOTOR) (SWITCH - BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the P15 motor connector.
    2. Check the resistance between the wire harness side connectors.

      Standard resistance 

      TERMINAL SPECIFIED CONDITION REFERENCE CHART

      Terminal No. Specified Condition
      P11-3 - P15-1 Continuity
      P11-1 - P15-2
    3. Check the resistance between the P11 regulator switch connector and body ground.

      Standard resistance 

      TERMINAL SPECIFIED CONDITION REFERENCE CHART

      Terminal No. Specified Condition
      P11-1 - Body ground No continuity
      P11-3 - Body ground

      NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

      OK: Go to next step 

  4. INSPECT POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY RH (REAR RH) 
    1. Remove the motor.
    2. Apply battery voltage to connector terminals 1 and 2.
    3. Check that the motor smoothly rotates.

      Standard 

      TERMINAL SPECIFIED CONDITION REFERENCE CHART

      Terminal No. Specified Condition
      Battery positive (+) → 1
      Battery negative (-) → 2
      Motor gear rotates counterclockwise
      Battery positive (+) → 2
      Battery negative (-) → 1
      Motor gear rotates clockwise

      NG: REPLACE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY RH (REAR RH)

      OK: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MASTER SWITCH - SWITCH)
