      Standard resistance

      RESISTANCE REFERENCE

Switch Condition Tester Connection Specified Condition
      Neutral A-1 - A-3 10 kΩ or higher
      +/RES A-1 - A-3 235 to 245 Ω
      -/SET A-1 - A-3 617 to 643 Ω
      CANCEL A-1 - A-3 1509 to 1571 Ω
      Main Switch ON A-1 - A-3 Below 2.5 Ω

NG: REPLACE CRUISE CONTROL MAIN SWITCH

    OK: Go to next step

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (CRUISE CONTROL MAIN SWITCH - SPIRAL CABLE)
    1. Disconnect the z1 connector from the spiral cable.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard resistance

      RESISTANCE REFERENCE

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      A-3 - z1-3 Always Below 1 Ω

    OK: Go to next step

  4. INSPECT SPIRAL CABLE
NOTE: The spiral cable is an important part of the SRS airbag system. Incorrect removal or installation of the spiral cable may prevent the airbag from deploying.

    HINT:

    1. Remove the spiral cable.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard resistance

      RESISTANCE REFERENCE

Tester Connection Spiral Cable Position Specified Condition
      Z1-3 - D15-1 Center Below 1 Ω
      2.5 rotations to the left
      2.5 rotations to the right
      Z1-4 - D15-2 Center Below 1 Ω
      2.5 rotations to the left
      2.5 rotations to the right

      HINT:

The spiral cable makes a maximum of approximately 5 rotations.

    NG: REPLACE SPIRAL CABLE
