Inspection Procedure

- CHECK DISTANCE CONTROL ECU (IGB VOLTAGE)
- Disconnect the A36 sensor connector.
- Measure the voltage of the wire harness side connector.
Standard voltage
VOLTAGE SPECIFICATIONTester Connection Condition Specified Condition A36-5 (IGB) - Body ground Ignition switch on (IG) 10 to 14 V
NG: Go to step 3
OK: Go to next step
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (LASER SENSOR - ECM AND BODY GROUND)
- Disconnect the ECM A55 connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance
RESISTANCE REFERENCETester Connection Condition Specified Condition A36-1 (LGND) - A55-38 (LGND) Always Below 1 Ω A36-1 (LGND) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher A36-2 (SGND) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK : PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (LASER SENSOR - DISTANCE CONTROL ECU)
- Disconnect the distance control ECU connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance
RESISTANCE REFERENCETester Connection Condition Specified Condition A20-13 (IGB) - A36-5 (IGB) Always Below 1 Ω A20-13 (IGB) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK : PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
