System Outline
- Speed Sensor
Detects the wheel speed of each of four wheels.
- Skid Control ECU with Actuator
Based on signals from the sensors, it judges the vehicle driving conditions and sends the brake control signal to the brake actuator.
- ABS Warning Light
Lights up to alert the driver when the ECU detects a malfunction in the ABS system and stops the system.
- Brake Warning Light
The brake warning light will light-up to alert the driver whenever the ECU has detected a malfunction in the brake system.
It will also light up simultaneously with the ABS warning light to alert the driver if the ECU has detected a malfunction in both the ABS and the EBD.
- Engine Control Module
Sends signals such as park/neutral position SW, etc., to the skid control ECU with actuator.
