Engine Control System (2TR-FE) (Service Information): ECM: Removal: Removal

NOTE:

Perform REGISTRATION (VIN registration) when replacing the ECM. Refer to REGISTRATION .
Perform the Throttle body initialization when replacing the ECM. See step 7.

DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
REMOVE GLOVE COMPARTMENT DOOR ASSEMBLY . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 41
REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY LOWER RH . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 42
REMOVE ECM

1. Disconnect the 4 connectors.
2. Remove the 2 bolts and nut, then remove the ECM.
REMOVE ECM BRACKET

1. Remove the 3 screws, then remove the ECM bracket.

1. Remove the 2 screws, then remove the ECM bracket No. 2.
