Problem Symptoms Table

If a normal code is displayed during the DTC check but the problem still occurs, check the circuits for each problem symptom in the order given in the table below and proceed to the relevant troubleshooting article.

NOTE:

When replacing the skid control ECU, sensor or etc., turn the ignition switch off.

VEHICLE STABILITY CONTROL SYSTEM

Symptom Suspected Area See
ABS, BA and/or EBD does not operate Check for DTCs again and make sure that normal system code displayed. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR 
IG1 power source circuit Refer to DTC C1241: Low Power Supply Voltage Malfunction
IG2 power source circuit Refer to DTC C1242: Open Circuit in IG1/IG2 Power Source Circuit
Front speed sensor circuit Refer to DTC C1405: Open or Short in Front Speed Sensor RH Circuit; DTC C1406: Open or Short in Front Speed Sensor LH Circuit
Rear speed sensor circuit Refer to DTC C1407: Open or Short in Rear Speed Sensor RH Circuit; DTC C1408: Open or Short in Rear Speed Sensor LH Circuit
Check hydraulic brake booster using Techstream (Check hydraulic brake booster operation using active test function) If abnormal, check hydraulic circuit for leakage. Refer to ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION
If symptoms still occur even after above circuits in suspected areas inspected and proved to be normal, replace master cylinder solenoid. Refer to DISASSEMBLY - Step 8
ABS, BA and/or EBD does not operate efficiently Check for DTCs again and make sure that normal system code displayed. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR 
Front speed sensor circuit Refer to DTC C1405: Open or Short in Front Speed Sensor RH Circuit; DTC C1406: Open or Short in Front Speed Sensor LH Circuit
Rear speed sensor circuit Refer to DTC C1407: Open or Short in Rear Speed Sensor RH Circuit; DTC C1408: Open or Short in Rear Speed Sensor LH Circuit
Stop light switch circuit Refer to DTC C1425: Open in Stop Light Switch Circuit
Check hydraulic brake booster using Techstream (Check hydraulic brake booster operation using active test function) If abnormal, check hydraulic circuit for leakage. Refer to ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION
If symptoms still occur even after above circuits in suspected areas inspected and proved to be normal, replace master cylinder solenoid. Refer to DISASSEMBLY - Step 8
VSC and/or TRAC does not operate Check for DTCs again and make sure that normal system code displayed. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR 
IG1 power source circuit Refer to DTC C1241: Low Power Supply Voltage Malfunction
IG2 power source circuit Refer to DTC C1242: Open Circuit in IG1/IG2 Power Source Circuit
Front speed sensor circuit Refer to DTC C1405: Open or Short in Front Speed Sensor RH Circuit; DTC C1406: Open or Short in Front Speed Sensor LH Circuit
Rear speed sensor circuit Refer to DTC C1407: Open or Short in Rear Speed Sensor RH Circuit; DTC C1408: Open or Short in Rear Speed Sensor LH Circuit
Yaw rate and deceleration sensor circuit Refer to DTC C1232: Acceleration Sensor Stuck Malfunction; DTC C1243: Acceleration Sensor Stuck Malfunction; DTC C1245: Acceleration Sensor Output Malfunction; DTC C1279: Acceleration Sensor Output Voltage Malfunction (Test Mode DTC)
Steering angle sensor circuit Refer to DTC C1432: Steering Angle Sensor Power Source Voltage Malfunction
Check hydraulic brake booster using Techstream (Check hydraulic brake booster operation using active test function) If abnormal, check hydraulic circuit for leakage. Refer to ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION
If symptoms still occur even after above circuits in suspected areas inspected and proved to be normal, replace master cylinder solenoid. Refer to DISASSEMBLY - Step 8
AUTO LSD does not operate Check for DTCs again and make sure that normal system code displayed. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR 
Check hydraulic brake booster using Techstream (Check hydraulic brake booster operation using active test function) If abnormal, check hydraulic circuit for leakage. Refer to ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION
If symptoms still occur even after above circuits in suspected areas inspected and proved to be normal, replace master cylinder solenoid. Refer to DISASSEMBLY - Step 8
A-TRAC does not operate Check for DTCs again and make sure that normal system code displayed. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR 
Check hydraulic brake booster using Techstream (Check hydraulic brake booster operation using active test function) If abnormal, check hydraulic circuit for leakage. Refer to ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION
If symptoms still occur even after above circuits in suspected areas inspected and proved to be normal, replace master cylinder solenoid. Refer to DISASSEMBLY - Step 8
DTC check cannot be performed Check for DTCs again and make sure that normal system code displayed. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR 
TC and CG terminal circuit Refer to TC and CG Terminal Circuit
If symptoms still occur even after above circuits in suspected areas inspected and proved to be normal, replace master cylinder solenoid. Refer to DISASSEMBLY - Step 8
Sensor signal check cannot be performed TS and CG terminal circuit Refer to TS and CG Terminal Circuit
If symptoms still occur even after above circuits in suspected areas inspected and proved to be normal, replace master cylinder solenoid. Refer to DISASSEMBLY - Step 8
