DTC U0418-81: Invalid Data Received from Brake System Control Module Invalid Serial Data Received [12/2019 - 09/2020]: Description

for HV Model

The No. 2 skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly) sends signals indicating the status of the electronically controlled brake system to the forward recognition camera via CAN communication.
If the forward recognition camera receives an electronically controlled brake system malfunction signal from the No. 2 skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly), it will store this DTC.

for Gasoline Model

The skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly) sends signals indicating the status of the electronically controlled brake system to the forward recognition camera via CAN communication.
If the forward recognition camera receives an electronically controlled brake system malfunction signal from the skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly), it will store this DTC.

for Gasoline Model

When the ignition switch is ON for 3 seconds or more, the forward recognition camera receives an electronically controlled brake system malfunction signal from the skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly) for 1 second or more.
