DTC U0418-81: Invalid Data Received from Brake System Control Module Invalid Serial Data Received [11/2018 - 12/2021]: Description

for HV Model:

The forward recognition camera receives signals from the brake booster with master cylinder assembly (skid control ECU) corresponding to the brake control status via the CAN communication line.
When a brake control system malfunction signal is received from the brake booster with master cylinder assembly (skid control ECU), the forward recognition camera outputs U0418-81.

for Gasoline Model:

The forward recognition camera receives signals from the brake actuator assembly (skid control ECU) corresponding to the brake control status via the CAN communication line.
When a brake control system malfunction signal is received from the brake actuator assembly (skid control ECU), the forward recognition camera outputs U0418-81.

Once 3 seconds elapse after turning the ignition switch to ON, the forward recognition camera receives a brake control system malfunction signal from the brake booster with master cylinder assembly (skid control ECU) for approximately 1 second or more.

for Gasoline Model:

Once 3 seconds elapse after turning the ignition switch to ON, the forward recognition camera receives a brake control system malfunction signal from the brake actuator assembly (skid control ECU) for approximately 1 second or more.
