Front Mid Range Radar Dynamic Calibration

Mobile Repair Possible:  Yes Van/Car

NOTE: Calibration may not be completed successfully if conditions are unfavourable
  • Target straight roads with stationary objects on both sides (guardrails, poles, bridges etc.)
  • Vehicle speed should exceed 30 km/hr
  • Avoid accelerating or decelerating where possible

Procedure: 

  1. Using After Sales Diagnostic Tool select Front Mid Range Radar "Dynamic Service Alignment"
  2. Click "OK" to start
    NOTE: If conditions are favourable then calibration can be complete within 80 seconds.

    Calibration will time out after 15 minutes if "Completion Percentage" has not reached 100% in this time.

  3. Diagnostic System will display completion percentage which updates every 30 seconds
  4. Continue driving at speeds greater than 30 km/hr until Completion Percentage reaches 100%
    NOTE: If calibration is failed before completion refer to Error Code list in the table below
  5. "Calibration Successful" will be displayed once 100% is reached. Safely bring the vehicle to a complete stop, shift to PARK and leave ignition ON. Click "OK" once in PARK
  6. The Diagnostic Tool will then instruct the technician to "Clear DTC" and then "Read DTC"
  7. If DTC's are observed, then diagnose and resolve as necessary.
  8. If no remaining DTC's are observed, then calibration can be considered complete

    If Dynamic Calibration is failed prior to completion, refer to below Error Codes to determine necessary diagnosis and repair

Calibration Failure Message Recommended Action
Azimuth_OutOfRange Check Radar Module Mounting Angle Azimuth (Left/Right)
Elevation_OutOfRange Check Radar Module Mounting Angle Elevation (Up/Down)
Timeout Ensure calibration requirements are met sufficiently within the 15 minute timeout period
