Front Left Side Door Handle Lock Cap Removal And Installation/Replacement

Mobile Repair Possible:  Van/Car

Removal Procedure: 

1. Make sure the window is properly closed.
2. Disconnect the 12V battery negative terminal. Refer to 12V BATTERY NEGATIVE CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION
3. Remove front side door water deflector. Refer to FRONT SIDE DOOR WATER DEFLECTOR REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION/REPLACEMENT

4. Remove the covering cap (1).

5. Loosen bolt (1), do not remove.

   Torque: 2.6 Nm

6. Twist clip (1) in arrow direction and detach connecting bar (2).

7. Pull out the door handle (1) as far as possible.

8. Remove front side door lock cylinder with the front left side door handle lock cap.

9. Take the front left side door handle lock cap (1) off of the front side door lock cylinder (2).

Installation Procedure:

1. Ensure that the sealing (1) is positioned correctly.

2. Assemble front side door lock cylinder (1) and front left side door handle lock cap (2).

3. Pull out the door handle (1) as far as possible.

4. Install front side door lock cylinder with the front left side door handle lock cap.

5. Tighten bolt (1).

   Torque: 2.6 Nm

6. Install covering cap (1).

7. Attach connecting bar (1) and twist clip (2) in arrow direction, until it noticeably engages.
8. Install front side door water deflector. Refer to FRONT SIDE DOOR WATER DEFLECTOR REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION/REPLACEMENT
9. Reconnect the 12V battery negative terminal. Refer to 12V BATTERY NEGATIVE CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION
