Vehicle Summon Mode Description And Function
Summon mode (SM) is a driver assistance system that automatically moves the vehicle to a location from a parking spot via the C-App. The vehicle will automatically leave its parking spot and navigate around objects to reach the user when the user, who must be within a radius of 65m (6m for the EU), requests it by means of a remote button on the mobile app. The user can also send the vehicle to a location within a radius of 65m (6m for the EU) by selecting a location on the map on the mobile app ("Go to target"). However, a clear line of sight must be maintained between you and the vehicle to ensure that you can always closely monitor the vehicle and its surroundings. For EU markets: This functionality is limited by UN Regulations to be activated only within a 6m radius of the vehicle.
The system uses C-APP to remotely control the vehicle to achieve the purpose of locate the vehicle outside the vehicle.
- Do not rely completely on the system.
- Avoid using summon mode on public roads.
- Do not use summon mode on rough roads.
Summon mode can only be used on flat roads. It is the driver's responsibility to operate summon mode properly.
- Always pay attention to the vehicle and its surroundings.
It can be dangerous if the vehicle is hit by obstacles on roads.
- Always keep the sensors and cameras clean.
The system will not work properly if the sensors and cameras are not clean.
- Summon mode operation depends on sensors, cameras, cellular data connection and GPS data.
- Make sure everything is in proper working condition before using the feature.
Summon mode is intended for use only on parking lots and driveways on private properties, where the surrounding area is familiar and predictable. When the vehicle is parked in narrow parking spots, the ability of the cameras and sensors to detect obstacles in surroundings diminishes. In such situations, use of the summon mode is not recommended. The system will not detect potholes, gutters, or drains that are below ground level.
