Windshield Camera Removal And Installation/Replacement

Mobile Repair Possible:  No

Removal Procedure: 

1. Disconnect the 12V battery negative terminal. Refer to 12V BATTERY NEGATIVE CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION
2. Remove inside rearview mirror. Refer to INSIDE REARVIEW MIRROR REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION/REPLACEMENT

3. Unlock and disconnect the electrical connector (1).

4. Press and unlock latching lug (1).
5. Bend the latching lugs (2) slightly to the side and remove the camera (3) in the direction of the arrow.

Installation Procedure: 

1. Installation is the reverse of removal procedure, noting the following.
2. Install inside rearview mirror. Refer to INSIDE REARVIEW MIRROR REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION/REPLACEMENT
3. Reconnect the 12V battery negative terminal. Refer to 12V BATTERY NEGATIVE CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION
4. Diagnostics, Programming and Setup. Refer to DIAGNOSTICS, PROGRAMMING AND SETUP USING IDS IN SERVICE
