Remote Transmitter, Synchronizing with Central Control Module -J393- for Comfort System

Radio frequency remote control (transmitter) does not lock/unlock doors or open trunk/hatch.

TECHNICAL BACKGROUND

Remote transmitter failing to synchronize with central control module for comfort system.

For security reasons, remote transmitter and control module -J393- use a rolling code to lock and unlock vehicle.

In cases of function failure or when replacing remote transmitter batteries, use the following procedure, (also outlined in the Owner's Manual) to re-initialize the feature.

PRODUCTION SOLUTION

No production change required.

SERVICE

Tip:

Once started, you have one minute to perform procedure to reset the remote control.

It is not necessary to use a scan tool for reprogramming.

Press lock or unlock button (ONE TIME) for one second.
Vehicle remains locked.
Control unit recognizes only one key code via the master key.
Lock or unlock the vehicle with the MASTER KEY.
Procedure is complete.
