All Models - Control Module Software Updates
If, during a software update, you encounter a problem, before replacing the ECM check to see if the MIL will come on. To do this, cycle the key to ON, to OFF then back to ON again. Observe the MIL on the MFI display. If the MIL comes on, the ECM is not damaged. Disconnect the ECM or the battery for 30 minutes, then attempt the software update again.
