Ignition Components Overview

NOTE:

The engine speed sensor -G28- is on the cylinder block.

  1. Ignition Coil with Power Output Stage -N70, N127, N291, N292, N323, N324-
    • Remove and install using the ignition coil puller T10095 A.
  2. Connector
    • Black
    • Use the assembly tool T10118 to disconnect.
  3. Bracket
    • For the harness connector for the knock sensor 1.
  4. Bolt
    • 20 Nm
  5. Connector
    • Black, 3 pin
    • Sensor contacts and connector contacts are gold plated.
  6. Knock Sensor (KS) 1 -G61-
    • Installed location - exhaust side of the cylinder block.
  7. Bolt
    • 20 Nm
    • Tightening specification affects the function of the knock sensor.
  8. Exhaust Camshaft Adjuster
  9. Cover
  10. Connector
    • Black, 3 pin
    • Sensor contacts and connector contacts are gold plated.
    • Mark the connector before disconnecting.
  11. Bolt
    • 10 Nm
  12. Camshaft Position (CMP) Sensor 2 -G163-
    • For the exhaust camshaft.
    • Sensor contacts and connector contacts are gold plated.
  13. Seal
    • Always replace
  14. Camshaft Position (CMP) Sensor -G40-
    • For the intake camshaft.
    • Sensor contacts and connector contacts are gold plated.
  15. Knock Sensor (KS) 2 -G66-
    • Installed location - intake side of the cylinder block.
    • Sensor contacts and connector contacts are gold plated.
  16. Connector
    • Black, 2 pin
    • Sensor contacts and connector contacts are gold plated.
  17. Intake Camshaft Adjuster
  18. Spark Plug
  19. Control Housing
    • For the camshaft adjustment.
    • Removing and installing, refer to CAMSHAFTS .
