Ignition Components Overview
NOTE:
The engine speed sensor -G28- is located on the cylinder block. See item 14 under CYLINDER BLOCK AND COMPONENTS
- Knock Sensor 1 -G61-
- It is necessary to remove the thermostat first, in order to remove the knock sensor 1. Refer to COOLANT THERMOSTAT HOUSING WITH THERMOSTAT .
- The contacts are gold plated.
- Knock Sensor 2 -G66-
- It is necessary to remove the oil filter bracket first, in order to remove the knock sensor 2. Refer to OIL FILTER BRACKET .
- The contacts are gold plated.
- Ignition Coil with Power Output Stage -N70, N127, N291, N292-
- Removing and installing, refer to IGNITION COIL WITH POWER OUTPUT STAGE .
- Spark Plug
- 25 Nm
- If the spark plug is replaced, grease the ignition coil with power output stage. Refer to INSTALLING .
- Type and electrode gap, refer to SPARK PLUG TECHNICAL DATA .
- Remove and install using the spark plug removal tool -3122 B-
- Bolt
- 20 Nm
- Tightening specification affects the function of the knock sensor.
- Bolt
- 10 Nm
- Camshaft Position Sensor -G40-
- Contacts are gold plated.
- O-ring
