Multimedia Control Unit

The release tool VAS consists of identical individual parts. But for removal of the control unit, you need only 2 release tools instead of the 4.

Removing

Before starting repair work, perform the following:

-- Switch off ignition, switch off all electrical consumers and remove ignition key.

Release tool slits -arrows- in control unit.

-- Insert release tools -A- into control unit until they engage.

-- Remove control unit by grasping upper edge of frame -arrows- and folding out control unit.

-- Press on connector locking mechanism -arrow- and remove.

-- Remove release tools.

Installing

-- Connect harness connector.

-- Insert control unit at bottom into frame.

-- Press control unit into center console until it engages.

-- Finally, check multimedia system for functionality.
