Abs Control Module, Separating From Abs Hydraulic Unit
-- Get the coding from the ABS Control Module -J104- and write it down.
Use the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester.

- Function
- Check coding in the ABS Control Module J104
Remove the ABS Hydraulic Unit -N55- and ABS Control Module:
- 5-cylinder gasoline engine, refer to ABS Control Module -J104- AND ABS Hydraulic Unit -N55- .
- 6-cylinder gasoline engine, refer to ABS Control Module -J104- AND ABS Hydraulic Unit -N55- .
- 4-cylinder diesel engine, refer to ABS Control Module -J104- AND ABS Hydraulic Unit -N55- .
The transportation protection for the valve body must be installed on the ABS Hydraulic Unit -N55- after separating the ABS Control Module -J104- from the ABS Hydraulic Unit -N55-.
The warranty on the ABS Hydraulic Unit will not be honored if the transportation protection is missing.
- Transport protection for valve domes (foam)
- Sealing plug M 10
- Sealing plug M 12
-- Place the ABS Hydraulic Unit and the ABS Control Module on a clean level surface facing upward.
-- Remove bolts -Arrows-.
-- Remove the ABS Control Module from the ABS Hydraulic Unit in -direction of arrow- without tilting it.
-- Carefully remove all the seals from the valve domes on the ABS Hydraulic Unit -N55-.
- The return flow pump must not be separated from the hydraulic unit.
- The circuit board is laid open on a disconnected control module.
- No moisture or dirt particles must get into the control module.
- Avoid electrostatic charge!
-- Cover ABS Control Module -J104- solenoid coils with a lint-free cloth.
