• >>When Monitored:<< Whenever the power liftgate module is awake.
• >>Set Condition:<< When the power liftgate module senses a voltage of less than 2.0 volts on the liftgate switch sense circuit for longer than 10 seconds, this code will set.

Test Step 1 - DTC Present

• With the scan tool, record DTCs.
• Erase DTCs.
• Turn the ignition OFF, wait 10 seconds, then turn the ignition ON.
• Operate the liftgate several times from the switch bank.
• With the scan tool, check for DTCs.

Does the scan tool display B18E3 - Power Liftgate Front Zone Switch Circuit Low?

Yes

• Go to Test Step 2 Test Step 2 - Liftgate Release Switch Short 

No

• Using the wiring diagram/schematic as a guide, inspect the wiring and connectors for an intermittent condition.
• Perform the Body Verification Test. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST .
