B18E4 - Power Liftgate Front Zone Switch Circuit High: Notes

- >>When Monitored:<< Whenever the power liftgate module is awake.
- >>Set Condition:<< When the power liftgate module senses a voltage over 5.1 volts on the liftgate switch sense circuit for longer than 10 seconds, this code will set.

Test Step 1 - DTC PRESENT
- With the scan tool, record DTCs.
- Erase DTCs.
- Turn the ignition OFF, wait 10 seconds, then turn the ignition ON.
- Operate the liftgate several times from the switch bank.
- With the scan tool, check for DTCs.
Does the scan tool display B18E4 - Power Liftgate Front Zone Switch Circuit High?
Yes
- Go to Test Step 2 Test Step 2 - Liftgate Release Switch Short
No
- Using the wiring diagram/schematic as a guide, inspect the wiring and connectors for an intermittent condition.
- Perform the Body Verification Test. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST .
