B1961 - Power Liftgate Chime Control Circuit High: Notes

- >>When Monitored:<< Whenever the Power Liftgate Module is awake.
- >>Set Condition:<< The power liftgate module has detected the chime circuit voltage is over four volts during operation or over 1.5 volts when not operating.

Test Step 1 - DTC PRESENT
- With the scan tool, record and erase the DTCs.
- Turn the ignition off, wait 10 seconds, then turn the ignition on.
- Operate the liftgate several times.
- With the scan tool, read the active DTCs.
Does the scan tool display: B1961-POWER LIFTGATE CHIME CONTROL CIRCUIT HIGH?
Yes
- Go to Test Step 2 Test Step 2 - (Q94) LIFTGATE CHIME DRIVER CIRCUIT SHORTED TO VOLTAGE
No
- Test complete, the condition or conditions that originally set this DTC are not present at this time. Using the wiring diagrams as a guide, check all related splices and connectors for signs of water intrusion, corrosion, pushed out or bent terminals and poor pin fit.
- Perform the Body Verification Test. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST .
