B1966 - Power Liftgate Sensor Supply High: Notes

• >>When Monitored:<< Whenever the power liftgate module is awake.
• >>Set Condition:<< The power liftgate module has detected the position sensor supply voltage is above 5.5 volts.

Possible Causes
Q901 LOGIC GROUND OPEN
Q203 POSITION SENSOR SUPPLY CIRCUIT OPEN
Q203 POSITION SENSOR SUPPLY CIRCUIT SHORT to BATTERY
POWER LIFTGATE DRIVE UNIT
POWER LIFTGATE MODULE

Test Step 1 - DTC Present

• With the scan tool, record DTCs and any liftgate inhibitors.
• Erase DTCs.
• Turn the ignition OFF, wait 10 seconds, then turn the ignition ON.
• Operate the liftgate several times.
• With the scan tool, check for DTCs.

Does the scan tool display B1966 - Power Liftgate Sensor Supply High?

Yes

• Go to Test Step 2 Test Step 2 - Logic Ground Circuit Open 

No

• Using the wiring diagram/schematic as a guide, inspect the wiring and connectors for an intermittent condition.
• Perform the Body Verification Test. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST .
