MULTIFUNCTION Steering Wheel Radio And Radio/Navigation Display Unit Control Module -R- / -J503- Components
The multifunction steering wheel makes it possible to control some functions of the communications system and the cruise control from the steering wheel.
The multifunction steering wheel has:
- The left multifunction buttons on steering wheel -E440-
- The right multifunction buttons on the steering wheel -E441-
With integrated electronics.
In the case of problems, technicians must be familiar with the function and operation of the multifunction steering wheel.
Troubleshooting
The multifunction steering wheel control module -J453- communicates only with the steering column electronic systems control module -J527-. Data commands are processed there once more for further communication with subsequent control modules (radio system, multifunction display "MFA" and telephone system).
Multifunction Steering Wheel has On Board Diagnostic (OBD) capabilities.
