Automatic Transmission Fluid Level, Checking: Adding

-- Install the quick release coupling from the adapter for oil filling VAS 6262 A to the transmission pan hand tight.

-- Shake the fluid bottle before opening.

-- Connect the adapter for oil filling VAS 6262 A to the fluid container. Be sure to read the instructions. Refer to Note the following information .

-- Fill with 1 liter of ATF.

-- Connect the oil filler adapter VAS 6262 A to the quick release coupling and check the fluid.

If the ATF leaks out of the plug hole: 

The ATF does not need to be topped off. 

-- Allow the ATF to drain until it drips.

-- Reinstall and tighten the plug, with a new seal, to 27 Nm. The ATF level checking is now completed.

If no ATF leaks out of the plug hole: 

-- Add another liter of fluid. Refer to Adding .
