2014-2015 A7 Golf and Golf Wagon A7 Function Clearing System (FES) Purpose and Function 

This test plan is available under the "Special Functions" tab in ODIS and is used to either add a new function to the 5F module or to recreate function of features that are already activated for the VIN.

When accessing this test plan, you will be presented with two options. Option 1 is to add an additional feature to the system (such as updated navigation maps). Option 2 would be used to reactivate any functions that are linked to the VIN (such as telephone or Navigation). More information is available in the function description document that is available on this screen. Option 2 would be run when either the 5F has been replaced or if a particular feature is not functioning.

Option 1 of the test plan will rewrite the information on the central server to now include the new feature that is being added. (In this case, a new version of Navigation data).

Option 2 of the test plan will take information from the server regarding which options are recorded for the particular VIN and will activate those features (such as Bluetooth, Navigation or Voice Control) in the 5F module on the vehicle.
