NOTE:

Vehicles with Navigation systems that have been installed at the factory do not need to calibrate the compass.

Vehicles whose navigation systems were not factory installed are automatically and permanently calibrated.

If the vehicle has any retrofitted accessories, meaning cell phone, TV, the compass must be calibrated manually.

The compass indicates the direction vehicle is facing.

For a correct reading, the correct compass zone must be adjusted.

-- Determine the geographic area, referring to the zone map, for example zone 8 for Germany, zone 6 for Mexico, etc.

Setting the compass zone and calibrating the compass is performed in the "main menu", using the button -1- and the rocker switch -2- of the windshield wiper stalk.

Button -1- confirms the menu items.
Use the rocker switch -2- to switch from one menu to another.
