General Repair Information

Complete the Following Steps Before Starting Procedures on the Fuel Supply System:

• Before starting work, place a suction hose near the installation opening for the fuel tank when the exhaust extracting system is switched on.
• This extracts the fuel vapors.
• If no exhaust extracting system is available, a radial fan (as long as motor is not in air flow) with a delivery volume greater than 15 m³ /h can be used.
• Do not let fuel come in contact with skin. Wear fuel-resistant gloves.
• Disable the current to the Transfer Fuel Pump -G6-. Refer to the appropriate Wiring Diagram.
• Drain the fuel tank. Refer to FUEL TANK, DRAINING .
