Overview - Display Control Head, CLIMATRONIC

NOTE:
Depending on the equipment version, not all the buttons are used and the layout may vary.
- Left Temperature Display
- Shows the set temperature for the driver side
- Left Seat Heating Button -E653-
- Optional
- The seat heater has three settings. The LED indicates the current setting.
- If no LED is illuminated, the seat heating is switched off.
- Windshield Air Distribution Button
- The LED illuminates when the setting is active
- Center Air Distribution Button
- Air distribution on the upper body above the center instrument panel vent
- The LED illuminates when the setting is active
- Lower Air Distribution Button
- Air distribution in the footwell
- The LED illuminates when the setting is active
- Recirculation Mode Button
- The LED illuminates when the setting is active
- Manual and automatic recirculating air mode
- Press the button for the recirculating air mode to prevent polluted air from entering the vehicle interior.
Recirculating air mode is switched on automatically under the following conditions:
- When the operating the windshield washer system,
- When the Air Quality Sensor -G238- is activated.
- When reverse gear is engaged (this function is only active for two minutes after the engine is started).
- Blower speed on the Heater and A/C Controls -EX21- off
- Heater and A/C Controls -EX21- "OFF"
- Right Seat Heating Button -E654-
- Optional

- Right Temperature Display
- Shows the set temperature for the front passenger side
- Max A/C
Button
- The LED illuminates when the setting is active
- The A/C system will run with the maximum cooling output
- A/C
Button
- The LED illuminates when the setting is active
- If the A/C button is deactivated, the A/C compressor will be set close to zero delivery. If the AUTO button is active, the heating and ventilation will continue to be controlled. electronically
- Right Temperature Control Knob
- The selected temperature will be shown in the display
- Sync
Button
- The LED illuminates when the setting is active
- Synchronization of the climate zones to the driver value
- Low Blower Speed
- Only for display, no function
- AUTO
Button
- The LED illuminates when the setting is active
- In auto mode, the Climatronic holds the selected vehicle temperature automatically. For this, the temperature of the blowing air, blower speed and air distribution is automated.
- SETUP
Button
- Pressing the SETUP button calls up the climate control menu for adjustment for example of the recirculating air mode, and default functions.
- Blower Adjustment Knob
- By turning the knob, the blower speed can be individually adjusted.
- If the blower speed is manually adjusted, the AUTO function is automatically deactivated.
- High Blower Speed
- Only for display, no function
- Immediate Heating Button -E537- for Turning Parking/Auxiliary Heater On/Off or OFF
Button for Turning the A/C System On/Off
- Depends on equipment
- When the OFF button is activated, the Climatronic is not working, there is no heating or ventilation.
- MAX Defrost Button
- Air intake from the outside is directed to the windshield and the recirculating air mode will switch off automatically if it is switched on.
- In order to remove fog from front windshield quickly, the air temperature must be dehumidified above 1.5 °C (35 °F), the A/C compressor switched on and the blower must set to the highest speed.
- Rear Window Defogger Button
- The LED illuminates when the setting is active
- It only functions when the engine is running and switches off automatically after 10 minutes
- Left Thermostat Adjustment Knob
- The selected temperature will be shown in the display
