Front Axle Differential Lock, Installing: Installing

-- Guide the flange shaft splines and the front axle differential lock with differential together.

Tip

Keep the front axle differential lock in installation position at all times to avoid spilling transmission fluid.

-- Slide the front axle differential lock all the way onto the transmission.

-- Tighten the bolts -arrows-.

-- Tighten the bolts -arrows-.

-- Install the bolts -1-.

-- Position a commercially available tire iron -A- in between the bolts -1-, and counterhold at the flange shaft.

-- Tighten the bolt -2-.

-- Install the fan shroud. Refer to FAN SHROUD, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, GOLF, TIGUAN, TAYRON, ARTEON, T-ROC AND PASSAT .

-- Remove the Engine Support :T50015A  .

-- Install the pendulum support. Refer to PENDULUM SUPPORT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Connect the connector -1-.

-- Connect the connector -Arrow-.

-- Install the catalytic converter. Refer to CATALYTIC CONVERTER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, FWD , or CATALYTIC CONVERTER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, AWD .

-- Install the right drive axle. Refer to DRIVE AXLE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Fill the front axle differential lock fluid. Refer to FRONT AXLE DIFFERENTIAL LOCK FLUID, DRAINING AND FILLING .
