Air Control Valve Check

  1. Turn ignition switch off. On 2.3L models, Connect an ohmmeter between terminal No. 87 and control unit connector No. 10. Connect ohmmeter between terminal No. 87 and terminal No. 23 of the control unit connector. In both cases resistance should read approximately 20 ohms.
  2. On 2.8L models, connect ohmmeter between terminals No. 9 of the 25 terminal connector and terminals No. 23 and No. 10 of the control unit connector. In both cases resistance should read approximately 20 ohms.
NOTE: When testing is complete, with ignition switch off, plug control unit in and install protective cover.
