Ground Circuits (Using An Ohmmeter)

  1. On models with the 2.8L engine, turn ignition off. Connect negative lead of an ohmmeter to ground. Connect other lead to terminals No. 5, No. 11, No. 19 and No. 25. Ohmmeter should indicate zero ohms on all circuits.
  2. On models with the 2.3L engine, turn ignition off. Connect negative lead of an ohmmeter to ground. Connect other lead to terminals No. 11 and No. 25. Ohmmeter should indicate zero ohms on all circuits.
  3. If any terminal shows a high resistance or infinite resistance, the wire connected to that terminal must be traced and repaired. Wires are grounded at intake manifold.
