Anti-Lock Brake System: Description

Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS), through use of precision hydraulics and digital electronics, prevents wheel lock-up while providing shortest possible braking distance combined with full directional stability. System consists of a hydraulic modulator unit used in conjunction with 3 speed sensors and Electronic Control Unit (ECU). System is united through a network of hydraulic lines and wire harnesses.

"ABS" indicator light, located on instrument panel, lights up when an ABS failure occurs. Since this sophisticated system functions as a supplement to conventional braking system, if a malfunction occurs vehicle may be safely driven, normal brake function is not impaired.
