Electronic Control Unit

Electronic Control Unit (ECU) is located in trunk area, under the cover in right side spare wheelwell. ECU is a small, multi-channel electronic computer which computes acceleration, deceleration and slip values from electric input signals generated by speed sensors. By way of logic interconnection of these values, control commands are produced for electric solenoid valves in the hydraulic modulator.

Incorporated in ECU is a monitoring circuit which continuously performs a functional check of ABS system. If a failure is sensed "ABS" light on dash is illuminated.
