Fuel System Relay Power Supply Check

  1. On all models, attach a jumper wire between terminal No. 21 and ground. Measure voltage across terminal No. 9 and ground. Relay should click on and battery voltage should be indicated. If not, check connector and wiring harness back to ignition switch. Check system relay and fuse.
  2. On 2.8L models, ground terminal No. 21 to close main relay. Ground terminal No. 17. Relay should close and fuel pump should start. Connect a voltmeter between ground and terminal No. 8 of 25 terminal connector, right of the "A" post. Voltmeter should read battery voltage.
