Checking compression: Verification

HINT: After carrying out the repair check that the fault has been remedied. Carry out the following:

• Ignition off.
• Disconnect the engine speed (RPM) sensor.
• Disconnect the camshaft position (CMP) sensor.
• Remove spark plug.
  • Carry out a compression test at wide open throttle (WOT) and turn the starter motor.

    Normal value 1.3 - 1.5 MPa (13 - 15 kp/cm² ) with engine at operating temperature

Is compression OK? 

• YES 

  OKAY:  Troubleshooting has been completed.

• NO
