Pulse damper, replacement: Preparation

Drain the fuel system. See Fuel system pressure release .

Remove the cover over the fuel rail.

Disconnect the injector valves' connectors.

Blow clean around the injectors.

The fuel rail mounting screws.

Separate the fuel line quick-release connector under the intake pipe. Use tool 9995666 .

Spray universal oil or the like around the injectors' connection on the intake pipe.

Wiggle and carefully pull loose the inlet pipe and injectors.

NOTE: Handle the injector valves carefully to avoid damaging the injector valves' nozzles with needles.
