Control Module: Installation

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 6 other vehicles, including the 2000 Volvo V70, 2000 Volvo S70, 2000 Volvo C70, 1999 Volvo V70, and 1999 Volvo S70. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. To install, reverse removal procedure. Install control module using original bolts. Ground terminal is secured by one of the mounting bolts. Ensure ground terminal is not damaged when tightening bolts. Tighten all bolts to 89 INCH lbs. (10 N.m).
  2. Turn ignition switch to ON position and connect negative battery cable. Check SRS warning light to ensure system is functioning properly. See SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK . If fault code exists after replacing control module, clear codes and perform SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK . again. If SRS warning light still indicates a malfunction, enter self-diagnostics and retrieve fault codes. See DIAGNOSTICS .
