Replacing A Component
Convertible Roof Module (CRM) has registered an internal malfunction.
If the fault is intermittent it means that it has been registered previously but is no longer present. Intermittent faults can occur for a number of different reasons. The fault is evaluated depending on how it occurs.
NOTE:
Before continuing with fault-tracing, the following must be checked:
- Check the cable between the Convertible Roof Module (CRM) terminal #D17 (#A47) and position sensor 17, front roof section. Check for a short-circuit to supply voltage.
- Check the cable between the Convertible Roof Module (CRM) terminal #D6 (#A36) and position sensor 2, rear roof section. Check for a short-circuit to voltage.
Replace the signal cable if a fault is found.
Change the convertible roof module (CRM) if the above check does not reveal any faults.
Remedy as necessary.
