Checking the wiring and component
HINT: The antenna cable is connected to the GPS antenna via a connector in the right-hand A-post.
- Ignition off.
Check the antenna cable between the carphone module connector G (gray) and connector E (terminal 1) in the right-hand A post. Check for an open-circuit according to Open circuit, permanent faults .
Try replacing the antenna if no fault is found in the antenna cable.
Remedy as necessary.
Other information:
- The GPS antenna has an internal resistance of approximately 60 Ω
- The resistance of the antenna cable between the carphone module and the connector in the right A-post, when measured using an ohmmeter, must be infinite between the signal cable and the shield or body ground
