Checking the signal wire

• Ignition off.
• Disconnect the connector from the central electronic module (CEM).
• Disconnect the 8 pin connector (small illustration) from the fuel pump.

  Check the signal wires between: 

  • central electronic module (CEM) 14C and fuel pump relay 2/23 1 and fuel pump 1.

  for a short circuit to voltage supply as described in Short-circuit to supply voltage, permanent faults .

  Do the necessary corrective action.
