Checking Power Supply And Ground Terminal, Engine Control Module (ECM)
Checking power supply terminal
- Check fuse 11 B/3. If the fuse is blown, check the circuit after the fuse for a short-circuit to ground according to Short-circuit to ground, permanent faults
- Check fuse 11B/1. If the fuse is blown, check the circuit after the fuse for a short-circuit to ground according to Short-circuit to ground, permanent faults .
- Check the power supply to #A70. The voltage should be approximately battery voltage.
- Check the power supply to #B11. The voltage should be approximately battery voltage.
Checking ground terminal
- Check the ground lead between engine control module (ECM) #A53, #A54 and ground terminal 31/71 on the right side member for an open-circuit according to Open-circuit, permanent faults
- Check the ground terminal on the engine control module (ECM) for contact resistance and oxidation according to Contact resistance and oxidation
Remedy as necessary
