DESCRIPTION

A new TRM has been released for the vehicles above. The new TRM (Trailer Module) is designed to handle LED lights on a trailer/caravan.

To be able to test the function of the new TRM, at least TWO light channels needs to be connected (in US, ONE light channel is enough), at the same time, otherwise the TRM will not recognize that there is a trailer connected and will not work as intended.

When connecting the trailer, there will be a light flash for all lamps at the trailer for 250 ms. If this flash is visible, then the connection of the TRM and trailer is correct.

When trying to add the TRM with VIDA, "error 132, no responding HW" may be seen. See SERVICE  below.

NOTE: The new TRM is NOT applicable for S40 and V50 MY 2004.

VEHICLE REPORT

Yes, submit a vehicle report if there are any problems with the new TRM.

Use concern area "Vehicle Report" and sub concern area "Support Needed", use function group 8923 Attach the VIDA log in the report (the file named: cartype_MY_chassi.log)

SERVICE

If you get error 132 in VIDA when trying to add the towing hook application, perform a battery reset or disconnect and reconnect the TRM and try to order the sw again.

Do not replace any parts unless the answer in the vehicle report states that a part shall be replaced.

Any downloading problem should be reported in a vehicle report. 

In the report, please answer the following questions: 

  1. What error message do you get from VIDA?
  2. What VIDA version was used?
  3. Dice connected via USB-cable or bluetooth?
  4. How many times did you try to purchase the ADD TRM sw?
  5. If you have replaced the TRM, was it possible to do the download to the new TRM without any problems?

    Be sure to attach the VIDA log (the file named: cartype_MY_chassi.log) in the report
