Checking The Wiring And Component

Check connector A (16-pin) for the transmission control module (TCM). Check for contact resistance. Check for oxidation.

Check the cable between transmission control module (TCM) terminal #A13 (#A43) and gear selector module (GSM) terminal #3. Check for an open-circuit. Check for a short-circuit to ground.

HINT: With the ignition switched on, the voltage with the gear selector in position N should be 0 V. With the gear selector in position R or D it should be U _bat  .
