Replacing A Component
Convertible Roof Module (CRM) has registered an internal malfunction.
If the fault is intermittent it means that it has been registered previously but is no longer present. Intermittent faults can occur for a number of different reasons. The fault is evaluated depending on how it occurs.
NOTE:
Before continuing with fault-tracing, the following must be checked:
- Check the cables between Convertible Roof Module (CRM) terminal #E13 (#B13) and supply voltage for hall sensors 6 and 18. Check for a short-circuit to ground.
- Check the cables between Convertible Roof Module (CRM) terminal #F13 (#B33) and supply voltage for hall sensors 1, 5 and 10. Check for a short-circuit to ground.
Replace the signal cable if a fault is found.
Change the convertible roof module (CRM) if the above check does not reveal any faults.
Remedy as necessary.
