Unlocking Using The Key

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 8 other vehicles, including the 2013 Volvo C70, 2012 Volvo C70, 2011 Volvo C70, 2010 Volvo C70, and 2009 Volvo C70. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

The driver's door can be locked and unlocked using the key blade which is normally retracted inside the remote control. This type of lock is also available on the passenger's door on the C70. On the C70, it is also possible to unlock and open the trunk lid from inside the passenger compartment. There is a lock cylinder in the storage compartment in the tunnel console that is mechanically directly connected to the locking function in the trunk lid. This is an extra solution should there be a fault in the system.

The lock cylinder on the driver's door has a cover. This cover must first be removed to expose the lock cylinder. This is done by inserting the mechanical key in a hole on the underneath of the cover and pulling out.
