Parameter, Status

GEAR POSITION

Only vehicles that have an automatic transmission.

The engine control module (ECM) calculates the status of the signal from the directly connected cable from the transmission control module (TCM).

P/N engaged = gear selector position is in "Park" or "Neutral".

P/N disengaged = the gear selector position is not in "Park" or "Neutral".

GEAR POSITION (VIA CAN)

Only vehicles that have an automatic transmission.

the engine control module (ECM) calculates the status of the signal from the transmission control module (TCM) via CAN.

P/N engaged = gear selector position is in "Park" or "Neutral".

P/N disengaged = the gear selector position is not in "Park" or "Neutral".

POWER SUPPLY MODE

The value indicates the status of the power supply mode.

IGNITION SWITCH POSITION (VIA CAN)

The engine control module (ECM) calculates the status of the signal from the central electronic module (CEM) via CAN communication.

STARTER RELAY

The status indicates if the engine control module (ECM) requested activation of the starter relay.

Active = Engine control module (ECM) activates starter relay.

Not active = Engine control module (ECM) does not activate starter relay.

BRAKE LIGHT SWITCH

The engine control module (ECM) calculates the value from the brake lamp switch signal.

Activated = brake light switch actuated.

Not activated = stop lamp switch unaffected.

EXHAUST DAMPER

Certain versions only.

Measurement range: 0 - 100%

The value displays the positions of both the exhaust dampers, that is if they are open or closed.

Exhaust damper A is on the right hand side of the direction of travel.

100 % = open

0 % = closed
