Tailgate System
The task of the Power Operated Tailgate Module (POT) is to check the tailgate's electro hydraulic opening and closing mechanism. To achieve this, it is included in a system together with the following components:

- | Their task is to prevent entrapment injuries by transmitting a signal to the Power Operated Tailgate Module (POT) if something obstructs the tailgate's movement. Then the movement in progress is cancelled. The pinch sensors are located in the moldings on the tailgate and register pressure all the way along these. |

Using this valve, the Power Operated Tailgate Module (POT) can increase and decrease the pressure depending on if the vehicle is located on an uphill/downhill grade and what the outdoor temperature is when the tailgate is activated. During opening and closing phases, this sensor checks if the tailgate has jammed. The sensor also checks that the tailgate has reached fully open position. |

| 11 | Inner, switch | Light switch module (LSM) (3/111) | Used for opening the tailgate. The switch is diagnosed by the Central electronic module (CEM). The switch must be held in for 1.5 seconds to activate opening. |
